Monte Cristo created this smoke to commemorate its company’s 75th anniversary. I am not the biggest fan of the Monte Cristo brand (non-cuban)…but there are a few that I enjoy on occassion. (See my previous Monte Cristo posts on the “Epic” and “White”). This will also make it on my favorite Monte Cristo list.
The initial appearance of this cigar is very attractive..with its dark oily wrapper and solid construction. It’s always a good sign when you can get that perfect cut without any cracking and this smoke allowed for that.
The first puff was very flavorful. I really enjoyed the hints of sweetness and balance that comes from aged tobacco. The blends Ecuadorian wrapper with Honduran and Nicaraguan filler.. worked well form me. My only major complaint is the draw. I found it to be very tight from start to finish. With other cigars I might have tossed it aside…but the flavors kept my attention.
I conclusion…JK recommends, if you can handle the tight draw. This smoke has a higher price tag because of it’s limited availability. (Around $10-18 based on size). Many thanks to my future brother-in-law for the great Christmas gift that included this smoke.

Hello there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?
I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m
looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me
in the direction of a good platform.
